The five central holes and thick clay bed spread heat evenly, so flavours taste cleaner and last longer. It works with foil or an HMD (heat-management device) such as a Kaloud Lotus or AOT Provost, making heat control simple and repeatable.

Kong bowls are fired in professional furnaces at over 1200 °C and won’t hold on to old flavours. Compared with silicone heads, the ceramic clay keeps the original taste and avoids gummy or burnt notes. It’s easy to run: foil it or drop your preferred HMD on top and you’re set.

How to dial it in

• With HMD: Start with 2 × 26 mm cubes; add a third after ~5–7 min if you want denser clouds.
• With foil: Stretch tight foil, 2–3 rows of small holes; begin with 2 × 26 mm cubes and rotate every 6–8 min.
• Pack level with the rim; leave a light gap for airflow.

• High-temperature ceramic (fired >1200 °C) resists odour absorption and thermal shock.
• Open draw from the multi-hole floor supports smooth, low-resistance pulls.

Care & upkeep

• Let the bowl cool before rinsing; avoid sudden temperature changes.

• Thin clouds: Fully light coals; add or centre the third cube after 5 min; check seals.
