How to dial it in

• Water line: set 15–20 mm above the down-stem bell for an open, quiet draw.
• Foil packs: level pack, tight foil, two 26 mm cubes to start; add a third after 5–7 min if needed.
• Purge: a slow exhale fully clears; half-purge to refresh flavour mid-round.

Hand-built in Cairo on a stainless core with electro-plated gold exterior parts. The turned stem sections provide secure grip when lifting; the heavier noir base steadies heat so flavour stays consistent deeper into the session.

Care & upkeep

• Rinse stem and base warm with mild detergent; use a soft nylon brush on the down-stem.
• Avoid abrasives/strong alkalis on plated parts and painted base; dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Quick fixes

• Harsh start: lift HMD lid 10–15 s or edge a coal; for foil, ease the pack.
• Thin clouds: fully light coals; add a third cube; check seals and water level.
• Air leak: reseat or replace bowl/base grommets and check the hose fit.
