Meet our Limited Edition Chubby: a hand-thrown, double-stamped collab that brings Greek bowl-maker BSTD to Australia for the first time. Each 300–400 g stoneware piece loads under 15 g, delivering juicier clouds, tighter heat control and far less wastage. High-temp glazes resist ghosting and hairline cracks for a bowl that’s built to serve daily.

What sets it apart

• Heat mass that matters: thick stoneware walls (300–400 g) soak and release heat evenly for stable sessions.
• Efficient flavour extraction: shallow sub-15 g cavity pulls full flavour with fewer coals.
• Glaze built to last: signature BSTD finishes, kiln-fired to ~1 200 °C, resist micro-cracks and ghosting.
• Two shapes, two personalities: Tall (deep/narrow) loves foil; Short (wide/shallow) pairs with most HMDs.
• Craft pedigree: wheel-thrown by Greek artisan Terry Antoniades; each piece is uniquely glazed.

Fit & compatibility

• Short: fits Kaloud Lotus, Onmo HMD, Cocoyaya HMD (universal ~73 mm).
• Tall: best with heavy-duty foil (≈40 µm) setups only.

How to dial it in

• Tall (foil): light-fluff to dense pack; foil; 3× 26 mm cubes.
• Short (HMD): semi-dense dark-leaf; 2–3 cubes with Kaloud / Onmo / Cocoyaya.
• Flavour range: tuned for blonde leaf; handles dark blends—adjust pack depth accordingly.

Craft & performance

• Single-piece pull in high-heat stoneware, then kiln-fired to lock glaze to clay.
• Sub-15 g cavity gives fast ramp-up and responsive heat tuning.
• Weighty build adds thermal inertia for smooth, consistent draws.

Care & upkeep

• Let the bowl cool completely before rinsing to avoid thermal shock.
• Clean with warm water and a soft brush; no detergent required.
• Air-dry 100 % before storing to prevent moisture cracks.

FAQ

• Will the glaze crack? No. High-temp firing locks the glaze to the clay, resisting hairline fractures.
• Is every bowl identical? No. Each is wheel-thrown and hand-glazed, so expect slight colour/shape variation.
• Can I run three 27 mm cubes? Yes on the Short with an HMD; for the Tall foil version we recommend two 26 mm cubes.
