How to dial it in

• Water level: cover the stem bell by 10–15 mm.
• Ice: add cubes (or crushed) to the chiller after assembling; refresh as it melts.
• Pack: level, airy layer for blonde leaf; semi-dense for dark blends.
• Heat: start 3 × 26 mm coconut cubes on tight foil under a heat screen; adjust every 8–10 minutes. Keep fresh 26 mm stock handy from our Foil & Heat Control range.

Expect a classic KM “rumble” without a diffuser, quick cloud ramp-up from the wide airway, and a forgiving heat curve thanks to the chilled smoke path. Purge behaviour is predictable—one steady exhale clears the chamber.

Care & upkeep

• Rinse stem, base and ice chamber after each use; dry fully.
• Use a soft brush and mild detergent only—avoid abrasives on the gold coating.
• Disassemble the ice cap weekly to remove condensation residue.

Quick fixes

• Harsh taste → remove one cube or lift the heat screen for 10–15 seconds; resume with edge-set coals.
• Thin clouds → ensure coals are fully lit; add a third 26 mm cube after 5 minutes; check all grommet seals.
• Fast browning → loosen pack slightly; tighten foil; rotate coals every 6–8 minutes.
